Ukrainian Queens and Princesses: A Shared European Women Heritage.

The Embassy will host an open-door event highlighting key historical Ukrainian women—such as Queen Anna of Kyiv, Roxolana, and Elizabeth Yaroslavna—whose lives reflect the deep-rooted ties and shared heritage of Ukraine, Europe, and Türkiye. Each location will focus on one figure, featuring visual displays, multilingual materials, and traditional royal attire. The exhibition will also include thematic panels and photo corners to enhance visitor engagement. These women were not only royal consorts but also cultural ambassadors who brought the values of Ukrainian Rus’ into medieval Europe. Their stories invite modern Europe to view Kyiv as a cradle of diplomacy, culture, and royal heritage—not only as a frontline.
