Description

The Austrian Embassy in Ankara, also serving as the residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Türkiye, stands as a symbol of Austrian-Turkish friendship. Located on Atatürk Boulevard in the heart of Ankara, it has served as a meeting place and cultural bridge between Austria and Türkiye since its opening in 1936. Designed by Clemens Holzmeister, the Austrian architect of key institutional buildings in Türkiye’s capital, it embodies Austrian architectural tradition with features such as its Schönbrunn-yellow paint and gray roof, making it a prominent landmark in the city.
